The native 4K Samsung NX1 Mirrorless Digital Camera features a 28.2MP BSI APS-C CMOS sensor that not only produces high-resolution images, but also 4K video at 24 fps, UHD at 30 fps, and full 1080p HD video at up to 60 fps. High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265) is applied so that even 4K and UHD video files remain easy to edit and share. Although the video quality at 4K from the Samsung NX1 is very excellent with crisp detail, great colors and nice dynamic range, however, if you want to do some post production work-flow of these footage with professional video editors like FCP X, you will end up with failure.

Step by step to convert Samsung NX1 to Apple ProRes for FCP X on Mac
Step 1: Add Samsung NX500 files to the Samsung NX1 Video Converter.
Click "Add Video" button or "Add from folder" button to import the Samsung NX1 H.265 footage to the application.
Tips: Before inputting footage to the H.265 to FCP X Video Converter, you will first need to transfer the Samsung NX1 footage to your local hard drive. You can connect the camera with the memory card inside to your computer via a USB cable, then turn your camera on to locate and transfer the files to your computer hard drive.
Step 2: Select Apple ProRes as output file format.
From the "Format" bar drop-down list, select Final Cut Pro> Apple PreRes 422(*.mov) as the desired format for editing in FCP X.
Step 3: Transcode Samsung NX1 to Apple ProRes for FCP X.
When all the setting is completed, hit the 4K Video Converter right-bottom convert button to start Samsung NX1 H.265 to FCP X Apple ProRes conversion.
When the conversion completes, find the output folder with converted files by clicking the "Open" icon on the main interface, then feel free to do the post work-flows with FCP X.
